Read: Matthew 24:3
As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
Reflect:
Let’s face it. Everything is not okay in our world (an understatement). Look at what we’re experiencing today. I remember when followers of Christ would ask themselves the same question we read in the verse above. You would think that many of us would be considering what the Bible has to say about these days, but sadly, many are just not interested and some treat the idea of Christ’s return as some kind of Science Fiction story.
Those who would deny Christ’s return would fall into the first warning of Jesus in response to the question above –
“See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray (Matthew 24:4).
How is it that many are misled? How do you avoid being led astray? How do you may sure you know the truth?
Respond:
I don’t intend this to be a trite answer, but if you are a follower of Christ and aren’t aware of His teachings how can you be sure what you believe is actually true?
