Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically. – Romans 12:11 (NLT)
Hold nothing back. Give it your best. Set your enthusiasm free and leave the results to God. — Chuck Swindoll
Earlier this week I was on a zoom call with a group of other people and the leader asked the question, If this year was a chapter in the book of your life, what would the title be? I heard a lot of answers that left me wondering if they were telling people what they wanted to hear, saying what others would expect? Hmmm.
At times, over the last ten months or so, life has been a chore, right? As a matter of fact, today has felt that way. So when I read the verse above and then found the quote from Chuck Swindoll, I am reminded again of Paul’s advice to the Galatians –
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith” (Galatians 6:9-10).
Instead of growing weary, hold nothing back. Give it your best. Serve with enthusiasm. Look for every opportunity to do good, especially toward other believers.
I needed to write this today to me.
