Earlier this week a friend relayed the story of a mutual friend who felt drained completely. He had nothing else to offer. He was in need of rest. Can you relate? Do the cares of life and the responsibilities of the day weigh you down? 

A mental health facility in Greater Cincinnati includes part of the verse above was engraved in the header above the entrance. I wonder how many times I have walked in there and missed the sign? How many others?

Jesus has invited us to give everything to Him and He will give us rest, but still, we hold on to our stuff. Our responsibilities. Our cares. Isn’t it time that we come and receive the rest, the time of refreshing (Acts 3:20) found only in the closeness of Christ?
