Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”
1 Corintias 15:33
We were in Phoenix over the weekend and so we took our grandsons to their church this morning and afterward we discussed what each of the boys learned in their classes and we talked about the pastor’s sermon on the idea of influencing others.
The pastor spoke of how each one of us influences others, even if when we may think otherwise. And then our seven-year-old offered that he had learned about the topic of influence a few weeks ago. He explained that someone could be a bad influence when they lead others to do something bad and that people can also be a good influence.
I am reminded of Paul’s warning n his letter to the church at Corinth with the familiar quote – “bad company corrupts good character.
As adults, I wonder how often we consider the influence we have on others. Is it for good or bad?
