As we’ve been considering Psalm 139, it is good to remember God knows all about you (and me), even if we try to hide –
I could ask the darkness to hide me
Psalm 139:11-12
and the light around me to become night—
but even in darkness I cannot hide from you.
To you the night shines as bright as day.
Darkness and light are the same to you.
What comes to mind when you read those two verses? For me, my mind goes back to the Fall when Adam and Eve attempted to hide in the Garden. Have you ever wanted to hide from God? Are you currently trying to hide from Him?
We can be confident that God is always aware of where we are and in what condition we find ourselves. Better than the night vision goggles used by the military, God sees all and knows all.
Adam and Even attempted to hide, but instead, God clothed them and initiated the plan to redeem mankind and defeat Satan with the first prophecy of Jesus’ mission – “He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel”(Genesis 3:15b NLT).
His plan is still in action today.
