From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives. All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.
1 Chronicles 12:32
A couple of weeks ago, I listened to a sermon that referred to the song, "Does Anyboy Really Know What Time It Is?" by the band, Chicago. Here's an sample of the lyrics- Does anybody really know what time it is Does anybody really care If so I can't imagine why We've all got time enough to die People runnin' everywhere Don't know the way to go Don't know where I am Can't see past the next step Don't have to think past the last mile Have no time to look around Just run around, run around and think why There are many people who are just existing, living day to day and giving little thought to the world we are living in today. The leaders mentioned in a single verse from 1 Chronicles stand out because of their insight into their days as the "understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take." How would you describe the times we're living in today?
