Proverbs 14: 15

On Sunday one of the pastors at church referred to the simple verse above to emphasize the importance of giving thought to our lives.

Have you known someone who believes everything they’re told? I mean, it was posted on the internet, right?

In today’s world, it is easy to get carried away by something that is false, whether it is intentional or not. The proverb calls such a person a simpleton, a foolish person, but the wise person gives careful thought to his/her steps.

Paul gives us an example of what that kind of life looks like –

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

Ephesians 5:15-16
