I remember a specific time when I spoke with an acquaintance and his love for the game of golf. He described his approach to playing the game and his desire to play daily. I’m not a golfer, not a good one anyway, but I was impressed with his passion. I left that encounter wondering if I was just as passionate about the one thing that matters in life – my relationship with Christ!

The writer of Hebrews tells us in his benediction –

Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Hebrews 13:20-21

How would you sit with someone today and tell them about the God of peace?

How would you describe the God who loved us so much that He sent His Only Son to die for us so that we could finally live at peace with our Creator?

How great is the God who raised Christ from the dead and with an eternal covenant and He is working to give us everything we need to live effective lives as followers of Christ?

Here’s the last question. What passion defines you? What is it that you just can’t keep from talking about to others? What topics do you find yourself drawn to in conversations?
