“Even if everyone else is a liar, God is true. As the Scriptures say about him, “You will be proved right in what you say, and you will win your case in court.”

Romans 3:4

Years ago I sat in a meeting with a group of leaders in the local church where we discussed a particular controversial topic facing the local church. It was (and is) a topic of importance that asks the question- Are my beliefs and actions aligned with God and His word or am I aligned with the world around me?

In the passage above, Paul addresses the idea of God’s faithfulness in all things. When the world’s views fail to align with God’s perspective, He will be proven right every time.

As the writer of Hebrews reminds us, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas”(Hebrews 13:8-9a).

God’s word and God’s standards never fail, and never change. Are my views and actions aligned with His?
