But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.
Galatians 4:4-5
I’ve heard it said time and time again that God is a work in our lives and He is never late, never early, but is always on time.
It speaks to God’s Sovereignty over all things. And so, at just the right time, God sent His Son to fulfill the Scriptures and redeem us.
The Old Testament prophet Micah proclaimed –
But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.
Micah 5:2
And God fulfilled that prophecy as recorded in the Gospels-
In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria. And all went to be registered, each to his own town. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.
Luke 2:1-5
God pays attention to the details and so when we consider His plan to redeem us, we should be confident in Him even when we are questioning the circumstances of our lives.
